Period 42 UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING?
Lesson 1 (1 ( 2)
A. Aims:
By the end of the period, Ss will be able to ask and answer about What someone like doing
. Language focus: What do you like doing?
I like swiming
. Lexical items:
- skipping, collecting stamps, cooking, swimming, playing chess, watching TV, listening to music, reading…
. Teaching aids: Ss’ book, radio, Cd, ect.
B. Procedures:
1. Warm - up:
- Listen to the song this is the way we go to school.
2. Look, listen and repeat.
- Set the scene: T asks:
Who are they?
Where are they?
What is he doing?( point to Phong and Nam)
What are they talking about?
Then T gives feedback.
- Ask Ss to listen and repeat from twice to three times.
- Ask Ss to work in pair.
- Call some Ss to roleplay the dialogue in the pictures
- Correct their pronunciation
- Explain to Ss some vocabulary:
T mimes, S guess: a lot of books, like reading …
- Help Ss understand the meaning of the dialogues
- Elicit sentence patterns from Ss
What do you like doing?
I like watching TV.
Elicit: to ask and answer about what? Hoppy or someone like something
3. Point and say.
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and identify the activities .
- T makes models: T asks: What do you like doing? ( point to pictures)
S answer, T corrects: I like …………….
- Have Ss repeat and make sure that Ss can pronounce verbs correctly. And T runs through all pictures.
Ask Ss to work in pairs.
Let time for Ss to work.
Have S demonstrate.
- T comments

Reinforce the contents of the lesson.
Ask Ss to learn by heart Vocabulary and prepare for the new lesson.

Period 43 UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING?
Lesson 1 (3 ( 5)

A. Aim: By the end of the period, Ss will be able to pracice listening, writing and speaking about what someone like doing.
. Language focus: Revise
1. Lexical items: reading comic books, making a model, flying skites, eating pizza.
2. Sentences patterns: What do you like doing? I like cooking.
. Teaching aids: radio, Cd, ect.
B. Procedures:
1. Warm – up.
T asks :
- What do you like doing?
S1: I like dancing but I don’t like singing
S2: I like ….. but I don’t like……
S3: I …………but I ………
S4: ………………………..
T writes on the board. Then chant aloud
2. Listen and tick.
Instructions:
- Have S identify the activities in each picture:
- Look at the pictures:
1 a. what does Linda like doing?
b. what does she like doing?
c. what does she like doing?.
T runs rrough all pictures.
Tell S listen and tick.
Then compare with the partner.
Listen and check.
Ask S to give the answers.
- Listen and check.
Number 1/ 2/ 3: which picture do you choose? What did you hear? Good.
Answers: 1 . ; 2. ; 3 .
3. Look and write.
- Have S look at the pictures and identify what these people like, then say aloud.
- Ask S to complete the sentences.
- Then ask S to read aloud.
- T comments
4. Let’s sing.
- Tell S to look at the song and read aloud to make pronunciation correctly.
- Have S listen to the song twice.
- Have S listen and sing in chorus a few times.
- Have S sing each line
- Ask S to practice singing
- Listen and sing.
- Call some S to sing and class comment
5. Reinforcement and Homelink:
